We tested a Lebanese and a Korean restaurant during the next two days.... It was really great food and the Korean was kinda spicy.
Chicko went back home last Sunday (21.08.) and I moved to Devendra, an Indian from the Hospitality Club. He's been living here in Bishkek for 6 years now and teaches English. I had a really great time there. I met some of his students and we had guests over every night. So we had a lot of fun, I got to know very nice people and could speak Russian and English often. I just felt like home. I also learned to cook Indian curry. It was so delicious!!!!! But since Soeren came back last night we went back to the hotel because Devendra only has a small apartment.
Devendra, thank you very much for the great time I had with you and your friends!!!! I really enjoyed it and will never forget you all.
I also worked in the project for street kids last week. The center is open from 12:00 to 15:00. It starts with a lesson. Lunch will be served at 13:00 and afterwards there is a special programm every day like going to the sauna or doing crafts. I mainly helped in the kitchen, cleaned windows, joined the lesson in math and Russian, and I am trying to remember how to make "Freundschaftsbaender" (bracelets for friendship) with different patterns. We used to do that with the kids in the summer camps all the time. There are not too many kids there right now, just between 3 and 8 every day. One reason is supposed to be that the streets were "cleaned" before the inauguration of the new president because there was a lot of international attention. But I like to work there and also the staff is really friendly. Soeren also wants to get to know the center now. |
